A scoring application for long-distance motorcycle rallies. The application requires a password specific to the event you are riding. It also requires you to know your assigned rider number and a code for that rider. Once that is applied, you may use the app. For those testing the app, in the instructions button on the title page, there is listed a generic password, rider number, and rider code you can use to test the app outside participation in an actual event.

What is the purpose, target audience, and features of this app?

Long-distance motorcycle rallies are essentially complex scavenger hunts on motorcycles. Riders are given a list of locations they can visit. Each location has a different amount of points. It is physically impossible to visit all the locations within the allotted time for this picture hunt, so the rider must choose the best route they think they can ride to maximize points.

The rider earns points by taking pictures of specific items at each location. These could be a statue, a building, a historical marker, or anything of interest. The rider then sends that picture to someone on the rally staff who will either grant or deny points for that bonus.

The app facilitates this process. First, the info screen allows the rider to specify which event they are participating in by entering an event password. Next, they enter their assigned rider number. To prevent riders from inadvertently using someone else's rider number, a rider-specific code must also be entered. The system then identifies their name and their designated scoring color (scoring is divided to ensure fair distribution). It also allows them to input their email address to receive a copy of the response they send.

The scoring function enables them to capture an image and select a bonus code number. They can then send that picture for scoring through an API via Airtable. The claim screen displays what they have submitted thus far.

This application aims to streamline the process compared to emailing information and ensures that the details are easily accessible within the app, eliminating the need to search through emails for pictures.
